Fluency with basic maths facts and strategies like subitising, friends of ten, doubles, partitioning, place value, friendly chunking and many more gives students the confidence they need to have a go and persist with higher order problem solving skills. These strategies are frequently lacking due to insufficient practice time – the mastery learning folder strategy gives students the time they need to master these important skills. A free Mental Computation Continuum containing links to free resources in the Flashcard Club is available by request.
Watch the replay to discover how to remediate, consolidate or extend student’s classroom learning in Sound and Letter Knowledge from phonological awareness to sight words. A free screening tool and printable resources are available by request.
Webinar Replay: “Differentiating Classroom Learning” (35mins).
After sign up, you’ll be directed to the replay.
The presentation was both engaging and very useful. (What I liked best was) learning how effective Mastery Learning Folders can be as I had no prior experience with them.
